As an avid cigar smoker, we all come up with different techniques and routines that work best for us prior to starting our smoking session and during it. Therefore, today’s cigar tip will discuss how to remove your cigar band.

How to remove your cigar band:

The cigar band that’s wrapped around the cigar, as a ring, is almost a badge of honor! The cigar band is an instant identifier, as to the type of brand the cigar is and what region it’s from.

For the cigar enthusiast, when taking photos of your cigars, the band displays your particular favorite cigar brands, in your pictures, as well as it signifies your level of expertise based on cigar bands. Taking cigar photos and showcasing them on social media is very trendy and the most effective way to show off your cigar bands, prior to removing the band from your cigar.

Not only are taking pictures of your cigars, trendy, to display the bands, but many have huge collections of their cigar bands displayed in a variety of glass objects such as over-sized brandy glasses, vases, mason jars, to name a few.

Also, many have glued their cigar bands on their coffee tables and coasters for creativity.

However, before you decide to remove your cigar band, it is best to wait five minutes or so after its lit, to try and remove the band. This is the best form of practice because the heat of the cigar will help to loosen any glue that may have come in contact with your cigar’s wrapper and will prevent you from tearing the leaf as you remove the ring “cigar band.”
