Tuesday’s Cigar Tips

As an avid cigar smoker, we all come up with different techniques and routines that work best for us prior to starting our smoking session and during it, and there are a few things we learn along the way. Everyone’s techniques and routines are different, based on your own preference or there can be some similarities. Therefore, to further connect with you and provide you with resources and details about cigars, I’ve created these weekly cigar tips for you to utilize.

Cool Cigar Smoking Tricks

Before you sip, blow your cigar smoke into the glass, to take away the bite of your whiskey or bourbon, and/or scotch.

With the popularity of cigar smoking, which is a cliché for us veterans to hear, regardless of our sentimental value and feelings, the sale of cigars is rapidly increasing in popularity, because of cigars now being considered a status symbol, which is sparking a growing increase in purchases and use, amongst the young/old, and anyone who wants to feel like a “Boss.” In addition to the accelerated increase of cigar purchases and use, you have an increase of photos circulating social media with cool looking pictures of cigar-photography, cool cigar smoking tricks, and just overall focused attention to the cigar social scene brings a lot of buzz to the lifestyle. Being a part of these social settings and scenes was once taboo and not overly accepting and inviting for all, to be a part of the cigar clubs and groups, but boy has the times changed.

One of the best attributes of social media is that it allows you to build relationships with others that you may not have had the opportunity to do so, beforehand. Also, it allows you to be as self-expressive as your heart desires. And, being associated, connected, and amongst those who are cigar smokers, is no different, as it relates to the exposure to other cigar enthusiast, professionals in the cigar industry, business owners and manufacturers, it’s pretty cool to see how things have evolved!

Also, what’s even cooler, is to see so many cool cigar smoking tricks such as all the longest ash pics that are constantly circulating around.

Standing your cigar on its ash, because some ashes are just that firm, you can literally stand the cigar on its ash.

And, whether you have found some new creative ways to cut your cigar such as an “X cut“, when you double cut your cigar with a V-cutter and turn the cigar at a 90º and slice again to get your second cut, to give it an X cut effect, or if you like to do a “double punch”, you will punch two holes into the cigar with your punch cutter, or fancy enough to make a “figure 8 punch“, and/or a “cloverleaf,” which you will then make four punches into your cigar with a punch cutter, it’s all pretty cool, and some added bonuses to impress your buddies and show off your knowledge, creativity at it’s finest.
