Don’t Worry, Be Happy!!!!!!
Today is “World Mental Health Day!!!” There are some major unbalanced and contributing factors causing individuals to no longer be able to control their psychological and emotional well-being.
Each year millions of Americans are faced with the reality of living with mental illnesses such as Anxiety & Panic Disorders, Bipolar Disorder, Depression, Eating Disorders, Schizophrenia, and Posttraumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) to name a few.
Did you know that there are nearly 300 mental disorders listed in the DSM-5 (Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders)? This is a handbook used by health professionals to help identify and diagnose mental illness. Mental health is very perplexing and not just one dimensional, it has many sides to it. And, it can be brought on by many influences and not just one event.
Research suggests that it’s more likely to occur from several overlapping causes such as genetics, environment and lifestyle influence whether someone develops a mental health condition. A stressful job or home life makes some people more susceptible, as do traumatic life events like being the victim of a crime.
It is important today to really stop what you’re doing and connect with someone and let them know that you were thinking of them or concerned by their absence or notice they’ve been withdrawn. Especially, close friends & family members, co-workers, associates, or anyone that you haven’t spoken to in weeks or months, and let’s not add in years, let go of any misunderstandings, this too his harmful to your mental well-being.
As the saying goes, the strong needs someone to reach out to them too, don’t forget about your strong friends, perception is not always reality! The true reality is that no one is immune from anxiety and depression that can lead to more serious risk factors, and/or create a hostile environment for those they know or don’t know.
Depression is very real, which anxiety can exemplify that emotion and feeling.
On this nice fall day, see if you can link-up with someone, outside of your normal “click” or “crew,” who possibly smokes cigars are not, and meet-up at a lounge for some bonding and fellowshipping. It is Thursday Night Football, which will be a heavy-hitter game with the New York Giants at the New England Patriots, this should spark up a lot of conversation at this outing.
You could also attend a less in the scene or lively location, because enjoying a cigar is to be relaxed, smoked slowly, and overall, enjoyed!
Cigars are not an addiction, it’s a lifestyle and if having one will increase your quality of life with happiness and fulfillment, then, have one or try one, just don’t inhale, and always smoke in moderation.
Consuming anything obsessively or chronically is an addiction!
Peace and Love!!!!!!!
